Cerler: The village of Cerler, part of the town of Benasque, existed long before the ski slopes were built. It is first mentioned in the 9th century, but there is very little documentation. This village features numerous noble houses from the 16th century and even earlier periods.
With the creation of the Cerler ski slopes in 1970 (at 1,500 m, the highest village in the Aragonese Pyrenees), its slopes are the best, featuring modern facilities with state-of-the-art snowmaking systems and ski runs winding through pine forests, including the Gallinero run at 2,700 m with a vertical drop of 900 m. There are also cross-country ski trails located in the Llanos del Hospital de Benasque, all set amid a landscape of unparalleled beauty.

The best way to see all the peaks in the park—from Aneto to Posets—is by taking the chairlift that departs from Ampriu, which can be reached via the narrow paved road leading from the village of Cerler.
