Appalachian Ski Mountain has multiple ski runs and an ice skating rink three miles away. Ridgeview is fifteen minutes from Boone, where you will find Boone Golf Course, Appalachian State University, and an abundance of shopping and dining options. The High Country features festivals and events, including the Watauga County Farmer's Market, Horn in the West, outdoor drama, and concerts. You can also visit wineries and breweries from Blowing Rock to Beech Mountain.
