Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This is an actual farm with chickens and horses. You stay in revamped trailers or a shipping container. The shipping container was awesome. Super clean and totally functional. We saw the other "mini houses". One was literally about 10' long. I couldn't imagine staying in one of these. The concept is "off the grid" living with very little impact on the environment. Since it was August in Florida, they had a generator running to run the AC. Everything else was solar powered. You make your own coffee and farm fresh eggs on the porch at the main house in the morning.

Negative: Would have enjoyed talking to the owners about their concept. Clearly, they are making a statement with their business. We would have enjoyed hearing more about how this came about. We had very little interaction with the owners. Possibly, they were just being polite and giving us our privacy.

Summary: this place is definitely not for everyone. After staying in hundreds of hotels, I'm glad we stayed.
