Downtown Banner Elk, home to Lees-theMcRae College, is a short fifteen minute drive and has local shopping and dining. Banner Elk Winery and Grandfather Vineyard and Winery are both about eight miles from The Village of Sugar Mountain.

This beautifully renovated three-level cabin can accommodate up to 10 guests in three bedrooms, with plenty of room to spread out or gather together. The main level has high vaulted tongue and groove ceilings, wood floors, and picture windows where you can take in the long-range views. An impressive custom wall mural, painted by local artist Mona McGraw, spans the entire space. The great room boasts a large leather sectional and a floor-to-ceiling stone gas fireplace and TV, making this an inviting space to relax after a day of exploring the High Country. Exposed beams carry through into the dining area and kitchen, where the dining table with custom wood chairs and bench seating accommodate up to eight guests, with additional seating for four at the spacious kitchen bar. Enjoy the mountain views from the covered upper deck, or unwind after a long hike in the hot tub on lower deck. Plan your family's game night in the expansive loft, where you can enjoy a number of board games and PacMan Arcade Game. The main level family room offers an additional living space for guests to spread out, enjoy the pool table or lounge by the wood burning stacked stone fireplace. The lower level is home to the theater room with comfortable theater style leather seating, a shuffle board table, a full bathroom with a sauna, and access to the hot tub.

Sugar Mountain High is a luxurious cabin, with custom touches throughout, featuring three bedrooms, each with their own private ensuite bathrooms. The main level master suite is a spacious room offering a king bed and TV over a decorative fireplace. While the fireplace is not operational, there is automatic candle lighting set on a timer for ambiance. The large master ensuite bathroom has duel-vanities, a walk-in shower, and heated tile floors. You can appreciate the mountain views while relaxing in the freestanding soaker tub. The top level is home to an expansive loft and two additional bedrooms. The top floor king bedroom has sleeping for three with a king and and a window side twin day bed. The thoughtfully designed ensuite bathroom has a walk-in shower, large soaker tub with mountain views, and heated floors. The second bedroom upstairs with a private ensuite bathroom has sleeping for five in a queen bed, twin over twin bunk bed, and a fold-out twin sleeper chair.

Additional amenities include an office on the main level with a sleeper sofa, full bathroom, AC, cable TV, laundry room off the kitchen, WiFi, and outdoor fire pit. Pets are not allowed. The house is accessed from the entryway via two steps. There is parking for four vehicles on a paved driveway. Catch the Sugar Mountain Shuttle to the resort. 4WD or AWD and tire chains are recommended for winter traveling.
